This traditional bamboo chasen is designed to create a smooth, well-mixed matcha with a light layer of foam. Finished with pink woven thread and a sakura charm, it's a simple, thoughtful addition to your daily routine.
As each whisk is handcrafted from natural bamboo, slight variations in colour and grain are part of what makes every piece unique.
How to use
Add 1 teaspoon of matcha to a chawan bowl with around 50ml of warm water. Using a quick M or W-shaped motion, whisk until smooth and lightly frothy.
Enjoy as is, top up with hot water for a traditional matcha, or add your preferred milk for a matcha latte.
Care
Before first use, soak the whisk tips in warm water to soften the bamboo.
After each use, rinse with warm water and leave to air dry. For best results, store on a whisk holder to help maintain its shape. Avoid using soap, placing it in the dishwasher, or soaking it for extended periods.
