at eighthirty we believe in creating exceptional coffee experiences through meaningful partnerships.

our story
Since 2009, we've been roasting high-quality, specialty coffee. We've learnt a thing or two. In the early days of eighthirty, it was just a crew of two roasting out of a small shop on Karangahape Rd, Auckland.
Now, we are a well-established specialty coffee roaster, loved by our forever-growing community and partners. Our commitment to quality extends beyond coffee and into every part of our business.
From sourcing milk from No Ordinary to selecting sustainable packaging from decent packaging, to our hands on approach to training staff, and the warm hospitality we extend to each customer during every visit to our cafes.

relationship coffee
We prioritise continuous partnerships with our origin partners in Popayán and Brazil’s Caldas region. Our commitment to high quality and ethical sourcing drives us to support sustainable practices through ongoing, reliable purchases.
By maintaining long-term relationships with our green coffee partners, we provide producers with consistent, dependable support ensuring stability and fostering sustainable growth over time.

cofinet
Cofinet is a family-owned business with deep roots in Colombia, specialising in producing and exporting high-quality coffee. Their dedication to innovative processing techniques and sustainability aligns perfectly with our values at Eighthirty Coffee.
By working closely with Cofinet, we’re able to source some of the finest coffee beans from Colombia’s diverse regions. This partnership allows us to offer our customers unique and flavourful coffee varieties, while also supporting farmers who are committed to environmentally friendly practices.
Together, we’re not just making great coffee we’re building a community that values quality and sustainability from farm to cup.

decent packaging x aqueous cups
Decent Packaging is revolutionising the way we think about packaging by providing eco-friendly solutions that don’t compromise on quality. As a company focused on sustainability, they offer compostable and recyclable packaging made from renewable resources.
Our partnership with Decent Packaging ensures that every cup of Eighthirty coffee you enjoy is part of a larger effort to reduce waste and protect our planet.
By choosing Decent Packaging, we’re taking a stand against single-use plastics and showing our commitment to environmentally responsible business practices. It’s a small step with a big impact and we’re proud to be part of this positive change.

outward bound
We’ve recently started to supply coffee and a machine to the incredible team at Outward Bound. Our partnership with Outward Bound began just six months ago, but it quickly felt like a natural fit. After we attended one of their events, we were deeply moved by the stories of young people who might not otherwise have the chance to challenge themselves, build new skills, and grow their leadership potential.
Outward Bound is a non-profit helping people reach their full potential through outdoor challenges and personal growth. Based in stunning Anakiwa, they’re all about creating better people, stronger communities, and a better world. We're proud to fuel their mahi with great coffee and are currently brewing up more ways to support them.
Our contribution so far has equated to four full scholarships for life-changing Outward Bound courses.
