at eighthirty we believe in creating exceptional coffee experiences through meaningful partnerships.

our story

in its early days, eighthirty began as a small team of two, roasting coffee in a quaint shop on karangahape rd in the heart of auckland city. today, we have grown into a well-established specialty coffee roaster, cherished by a rapidly expanding community and valued partners.

our commitment to quality transcends coffee and permeates every aspect of our operation. from sourcing milk from plant projects to selecting sustainable packaging from decent packaging, to our meticulous approach to hiring and training staff, and the warm hospitality we extend to each customer during every visit to our cafes.

we prioritize a continuous partnership with our origin partners in popayan and brazil's caldas region. our commitment to high quality and ethical sourcing drives us to support sustainable practices through ongoing purchases. by maintaining long-term relationships with our green coffee partners, we assure producers of consistent, dependable support over extended periods, ensuring stability and fostering sustainable growth.

decent packaging x aqueous cups

decent packaging is revolutionising the way we think about packaging by providing eco-friendly solutions that don’t compromise on quality. as a company focused on sustainability, they offer compostable and recyclable packaging options made from renewable resources.

our partnership with decent packaging ensures that every cup of eighthirty coffee you enjoy is part of a larger effort to reduce waste and protect our planet.

by choosing decent packaging, we are taking a stand against single-use plastics and demonstrating our commitment to environmentally responsible business practices. it’s a small step with a big impact, and we’re excited to be part of this positive change.
